Women’s Rights

Women’s rights refer to the social, legal, and economic entitlements that advocate for gender equality and the protection of women’s autonomy and dignity. This concept encompasses a range of issues, including the right to vote, access to education, employment opportunities, reproductive rights, freedom from violence and discrimination, and the ability to participate in political and public life. Women’s rights aim to ensure that women have equal status and opportunities compared to men, addressing systemic inequalities and promoting gender justice in society. These rights have been recognized through various international frameworks, such as the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW), which seeks to eliminate discrimination against women and promote their full participation in all aspects of life.
