Dakar Rally

The Dakar Rally is an annual off-road endurance rally competition. Originally known as the Paris-Dakar Rally, it began in 1979 and took competitors from Paris, France, to Dakar, Senegal, across diverse terrains including deserts, mountains, and rough roads. Over the years, the event has relocated and since 2009 has been held primarily in South America and, more recently, in Saudi Arabia. The rally features various categories for vehicles, including cars, trucks, motorcycles, and quads, and is renowned for its challenging routes that test the stamina, navigation skills, and driving prowess of participants. It is one of the most prestigious and grueling motorsport events in the world, attracting competitors from around the globe.
