UEFA, or the Union of European Football Associations, is the administrative and controlling body for European football (soccer). It is responsible for organizing national and club competitions, most notably the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, and the UEFA European Championship (Euros). Founded in 1954, UEFA’s headquarters are located in Nyon, Switzerland. The organization oversees the rules, regulations, and development of football across its 55 member associations, which encompass European countries. UEFA plays a key role in promoting the sport, ensuring fair play, and enhancing the quality and governance of football in Europe.
